Who I am
Author, Speaker, Thinker
I am a social worker, writer, mother, favorite auntie to many, and mental health advocate. She enjoys using her unique voice to share the experiences of Black Women and Femmes in America. Tangela is the author of two books, Sad, Black, And Fat: Musings from the intersection (2021) and Brazen, Black, and Free: Further Musings from the Intersection (2024). Her passion for teaching and learning has allowed her to obtain degrees in sociology and special education. When not looking for effective self-care strategies, she enjoys gardening, gaming, and crochet.
