I can honestly say that I feel slightly more hopeful about the future of the nation. Women are not going quietly and I love it.
I attended my local march and was moved to tears buy the beauty of so many people stepping out for what’s right. Estimates say there were over 30,000 people marching through the city today. The speakers were moving, passionate and wonderful. They did what they came to do. Count me among the energized.
I’m ready to work for change, lasting and permanent changes. People of color shouldn’t need to be scared to exist in this country. Muslim Americans shouldn’t have to worry about being accused of terrorism. Women have the right to make their own decisions about their bodies and what happens to them. Now, more than ever before in my lifetime, is the time to fight for what I believe in. There’s work to be done.
